We were a trip of shutterbugs. A minimum of one camera per canoe (Catherine and I had three between us). The photos you see here are Lester's if they're sharp and noise-free. If they're fuzzy, they're likely mine.

There's a shore out there somewhere, right? Catherine looks out into nothing: Grand Lake, midnight.
Midnight at Grand Lake: Hang the food? But the bears are all hibernating now.
Late night, early morning, Grand Lake.
Morning at Grand Lake campsite: Dot awaits her breakfast.
Martin keeping the fire company.
Is Cecilia so happy because she's found a tent to match her footwear? Or is it the other way round?
Morning at Grand Lake campsite: hearty breakfast fare for hearty fellows.

Why did Lester keep the camera trained on me?
Was he hoping for a wipe-out shot?
Catherine conquers another 'tage. And keeps her boots on.
"Chris, I hate to break it to you but you look like a cone head in that hat."

No really, this is not all that funny.
Just thought I'd get one last look before they disappeared forever.
Erin to the rescue.
"Victory! Wait - Catherine, did you say you had two boots?"
Catherine "Boots" Wilde takes a nap. The boot thing proved exhausting.
Dot was the only one who went swimming.

I'm actually not sure where this was taken. But it's Cecilia and Martin.

Lester: he doesn't look that scary.

The YCCC's badass tripping brigade. I think Cecilia's boots even have steel toes.
Blue sky. For the record.

For the most part my camera drives me absolutely batty. But in this case, I think it kind of produced some interesting results.

I wandered off when this nap thing was going on, but I'm told Lester set his watch to ensure we didn't nap too long.
While they were napping, I was off taking photos.
You can tell me if I should have napped instead. That's fine.
My skin is relatively thick.
I just loved the hues. So subtle, but rich.
Barron River. Low water.
And then there were these berries. It was at this point (and at every point where I was trying to take a close up) that I decided I needed an SLR.
