Georgian Bay/Bustard Islands Trip Journal

Georgian Bay is really really big. And it has a long fetch. (That's wave talk for how much of a run-up the waves have before they hit your boat). But on your average summer day, it makes for a pleasurable paddle and a dazzling surrounding for a wilderness trip. Such as the one I took with the Ottawa Outing Club in August 2001.

The trip featured great food, great company, and a pace that let you soak up the rain scenery. We were very fortunate to have Jim Hargreaves as our guide.
